How do these shallow subs sound compared to a conventional sub??

We have a regular cab f150 with only door speaker and we’d like to add a sub amp as well as a speaker amp is there any way we could do that on a factory radio? Considering there are no factory rear speakers if so how would we go about doing it?

i have these exact speakers and I've always been confused as to why there's an "on axis / off axis" switch? can you please shed some light onto what this means and what happens if i change this? the tweeters are on axis but the 6.5 inch speakers are on the floor off axis. I'm not sure what to do!

The biggest mistake people make is pumping more audio to a sub woofer than to midrange and tweeters. This in my opinion completely illuminates the upper and mid tonal range

Hopefully I understand this correctly. Amp has a max 5v input but the LC2i is up to 9 something. How do you make sure you are not outputting to many volts to the amp. Can this be done with just the max light or should put a volt meter on one the RCA leads feeding to the subwoofer amp?

Can someone explain - why these headunit wires are so thin? Most stereos come with a power rating 50W x 4 Channels = 200 Watts. Amperage = 200 Watts/12 volts = 16AMPS Approx. Don't we need an 8AWG POWER & GND cable ?

I've been having this particular issue with my sub, it does not power on at all and all connections are good but if when I turn off my car the amp it self causes parasitic draw and kills my battery with in a few hours

my son wants to only replace the stock speakers in his 2011 GMC Canyon but you have some videos that say that is bad and some say its ok. I can't find anything on keeping the stock head unit but adding a small amp and replacing stock speakers. Help Please.

I just bought the focal flax and I’m installing them tomorrow on my 400 x 4 Rockford Fosgate power series amp Along with my 1500 W by one Rockford Fosgate power series to my JL 12 W7 Central processing is gonna take place through a pioneer - touchscreen DVD It’s gonna be a rockin good time

The only issue with this is if you aren’t doing it yourself, you’re paying for labor 5 different times.. just take the time to save up and get it all done at once. The install will inevitably be neater going this route also

Wow I learned a lot and I really learned which step. Come fist I didn’t consider a sap or a line out converter I just found knowledge about the converter a week ago while looking for sub speaker boxes & amps

I have a similar setup in my truck. I stated with the 12tw3, then went 13tw5. Honestly not much difference in my opinion. Kinda disappointing considering the massive price difference. Then went with the sundown sd3 12 in an underseat box with the seat lift and wow! Sound like full size subs.

I have a 2011 Mercedes c350 with the upgraded Harman Kardon stereo they have the 6.5" subs. What would you recommend to get more bass?

My question now is when I see your videos behind you I see all that black acrylic plastic and I know what you’re using it for Lines and curves in your designs and what not where are you getting that material? Are you making yourself or is there a place you can order it. I’m constantly looking around trying to find items like that so I can get that inspiration or make those crucial lines for a build, but it would be easier if there was just a place I could order those stencils from thanks bud. I have a similar system…2016 Tacoma double cab…Focal Flax in the doors…Arc Audio A10 Subwoofers…powered by Arc Audio 6 channel amplifier X2-1200.6 Running factory radio with a Digital Design Dsi-3 processor …DSP with Focal speakers creates an incredible sound and clarity at any volume…adding sound deadening material enhanced the experience and reduces overall road noise…I liked the ability to created different presets for different genres…after listening to DSP enhanced music…it hard to not too..

something you didn't touch on, but I've heard for years, wondering if it's true. Smaller subs are more responsive, since they have less mass to move back and forth. so, for quicker sub response music, like rock or jazz, it would be better to have smaller subs. where as music that doesn't need as quick a response, like hip hip or EDM, larger ones would work better is this true, or relevant?

Those Sony radios are junk. Supposed to be the best sound quality radio rn but the connectivity issues are deal breaker

I’m trying to figure out best set up for my 2001 Cabrio. I just sold a 2000 (regrettably) that had a great sound system. I do t know the intricacies of it. Just photos of the speakers, amp, and 8” Rockford sun in rear. They had what appeared to be smaller dash speakers in the factory spot, with tweeters sitting in back of them pointing toward driver. Looked like a small infinity speaker mid range, and the tweeter is likely JL (or infinity) because the doors were JL mids. Amp was a 300 Watt JL. Rears, unsure, finding ones that fit is challenging, but Crutchfield stated I could space the screws with washers and other mods to bring thing “out”. Anyone have ideas of what to buy? It sounded so good! If I could locate the original O I’d duplicate it as close as possible. It had an older 52 watt X4 Alpine CD player. I’m thinking Kenwood next (I dont like those pop up screens).

You sold another set. What a great idea. I have traditionally converted to military style terminals but this is much more convenient for modern vehicles with fuses integrated into the terminal.
